I was hoping to find something that would attach to my camera strap. The strap on this one is not long enough to reach that far – it’s supposed to attach to the end of the lens which is cumbersome for me.

I received this lens cap keeper as part of a package when I bought my digital SLR. I have been using it for a month and a half (once a week or so), and today I looked down while taking pictures and my lens cap was gone! There was just an empty lens cap keeper dangling from my lens. I do NOT recommend this product. I have emailed the manufacturer to see if they’ll replace my Canon lens cap. I don’t want another one of their lens cap keepers because they don’t do what they’re supposed to do.

I bought this for my canon 70 200 2.8 lens. I was ordering the canon shutter release and was falling short by 2 bucks to be eligible free shipping so added this product to the cart :) ..

I like the elastic ribbon design which helps you practically use this with any lens of any size. The down side being the riveting done to the couple the elastic with the thread that holds you lens cap is made out of crude sharp metal. It has left scratches on hood when placed in storage position. I am sure it wouldnt spare other items in your camera bag. I had to wrap the metal with tape to avoid it from tampering its neighbors once in the camera bag.

Its a cool product. but for the issue mentioned above

These things are great. I had one 20+ years ago with my first camera in high school and liked it then, as well. I’m also ordering a replacement lens cap because, yes, I didn’t have one of these. So I ordered five and put them on all my lenses. Not sure why people complained bout the cord length. Five lenses and not one problem finding a place for the cord on any one of the barrels. No problems with the adhesive either. I’m glad I ordered these, and I bet I won’t be ordering any replacement lens caps again. Recommended as one of those little luxuries that enhance the quality of life.

My Canon camera came with a lens cap, but nothing to attach it to the camera. Seriously, how long did they expect me to keep it without dropping it, having it fall out of a pocket, or whatever?

This lens cap keeper attached easily, and hasn’t fallen off, despite some rough handling on my part.
