I like games that have a certain amount of challenge to them and this is definitely not that type of game. Basically all you do is slide pieces around a room to get out of the room so you can go into another room and slide pieces around. There’s no real challenge here unless you enjoy the slider puzzles which I did as a child but not as an adult, I need something a little more sophisticated and challenging in order to play it. This was a great disappointment even my 12 year old got bored with it’s simplicity. If you are a gamer don’t even bother with this game it will not give you that thrill that only a good challenging puzzle will.

Your character is trapped on a sliding tile puzzle and you have to guide him to the exit tile. You can slide the tile you are standing on or you can move between tiles by using ladders and teleporters. Some of the tiles have barriers like water that you need to pump out of the way or wear a diving helmet for, or boards that you can blast through using a candle and dynamite. Other puzzle mechanics include boudoir tiles that switch with a matching tile while you stay in the same place, and mirror tiles that move opposite to the matching mirror tile you are sliding.

After you complete the story mode(first 80 levels), you unlock 20 more levels that are mostly more difficult than the preceding ones, and also you unlock the option of replaying all of the levels with a time or room-move limit for added difficulty.

Pros:

Many of the levels have more than one solution(not counting trivial variants).

If you need more challenge you can find the solution that arranges the tiles to form part of a picture.

Full level editor to make and share your own.

Cons:

Sometimes the intended solution is not the most efficient solution.

You cannot share and download user-created levels worldwide but only with people who are with you in person.

Considering how slowly the level of difficulty increases in the first 80 levels, it would have been better if the time/room-move limit options were available from the beginning.

Comments: I enjoyed it, but I would have liked more levels.

Not the game for you if you’re looking for the occasional time-killer. The basic concepts are easy enough to remember but I got confused when I set the game down for a week and I forgot what I was looking for and why. But, if you’re the kind of person that plays non-stop until you’re through, then this is the game for you

I immediately thought of the Professor Layton puzzles when I picked this up. I will say that the graphics are a mite small on the DS lite that I am using. It has a tutor to get you started. I’m not very far along yet but I can see it is a game you will have to stick with as you may forget what it is you are looking for. LOL Maybe just older folks like me.

I have liked slider puzzles since I was a child and these are none to easy. I see this as another great game if you are looking to exercise your mind. For me it is a bit different than the others I have but it does have puzzles and a mystery line like Professor Layton only it is like real objects not cartoons.

I got a deal on it but I do think the original price is a bit high.
