I installed it.Easy to install.But it did not work.It detected the network but did not let me go online at all. I returned the item.

My built in Wifi just stopped. I priced having the Laptop worked on and decided an external Wifi would be less costly. I got the Buffalo USB WLI-UC-GN and it installed inabout five minutes. It was once again able to use my MiFi connected via broadband. It may not be great for everyone, but it was perfect for me.

This thing did not work for my windows 7 professional 64bit for some reason, if you run win 7 pro like me, it may not work correctly. Before returning the adapter, i decided to try it on my other computer that ran win 7 ultimate 32 bit and 64 bit, and it worked perfectly(just plug it in and it will auto install the drivers).

I was concerned that this little USB “dongle” would do the job that my computer had recently failed to do – connect to various WiFi networks – but it did the trick! It was fairly straight forward to set up, and once I did I haven’t had problems since. I’d definitely recommend this product.
